John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation

John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation

The John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research (JWCRR) was launched in October 2014 by Mr John Walsh, with the support of relevant government ministers and departments. The JWCRR focuses on research and education in rehabilitation and injury-related disability. It is an interdisciplinary Centre of the University of Sydney and is part of the Kolling Institute located on the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) campus.

The Centre was formerly the Rehabilitation Studies Unit established in 1992 by the University of Sydney and the Royal Rehabilitation Centre. The JWCRR receives major financial support from the NSW Motor Accidents Authority and the Lifetime Care and Support Authority.

Our Primary Objectives

  • To promote links with the research community, partner organisations, patient advocacy groups and non-government organisations to ensure effective transfer of research outcomes into health policy
